  • Scheduling
These tutorials will demonstrate how to add and select controllers to the Irricalc project. In addition you will learn how to enter all of the required information to calculate and efficient irrigation watering schedule.
    Controller Selection
This lesson will demonstrate how to add one or more controllers to the Irricalc project and how to assign a specific controller to each addition.
Available Days to Irrigate per Week by Month
Learn to assign the number of available days to irrigate, or how to allow Irricalc to calculate the most efficient number of days to skip between irrigations.
    Eto Database
Learn to create new areas and locations, to modify the historical ETo values in the database, and to assign ETo rates to the current Irricalc project.
    Scheduling Type
The Scheduling Type allows you to select the type of method that best describes the irrigation system and the output of the final schedule. There are four different scheduling types from which to choose.

    Advanced Irrigation
    Station Information
Enter a description for the selected station on the controller, assign the station to a program on the controller, enter the system efficiency, the flow of the water through the control valve, and the precipitation rate of the zone.
    Soil Information
Enter the infiltration rate of the soil and the soil moisture holding capacity, or select a soil type and percent of slope from the drop down menus. The software will calculate the infiltration rate and soil moisture holding capacity for you. You must also enter the percent of allowable depletion.
    Monthly Root Depths
Enter a root depth for each month of the year. If a month is set to zero (0), no watering time will be calculated for that particular month.
    Monthly Plant Factors
Enter, select or calculate a plant factor or landscape coefficient that best fits the plant material to be irrigated. In most instances it is not necessary to replace 100% of reference evapotranspiration (ETo). The plant factor or landscape coefficient is the percentage of ETo required by the plant for survival. If a month is set to zero (0), no watering time will be calculated for that particular month.

    Basic Irrigation
    Station Information

    Drip Dense
    Station Information
Enter a description for the selected station on the controller, assign the station to a program on the controller, enter the system efficiency, the flow of the water through the control valve, the flow rate of an individual emitter and the spacing of the emitters on the zone.
    Soil Information
Enter the infiltration rate of the soil and the soil moisture holding capacity, or select a soil type and percent of slope from the drop down menus. The software will calculate the infiltration rate and soil moisture holding capacity for you. You must also enter the percent of allowable depletion.

    Drip Sparse
    Station Information
Enter a description for the selected station on the controller, assign the station to a program on the controller, enter the system efficiency, the flow of the water through the control valve, the flow rate at the plant, and the diameter of the plant canopy.
Additional Commands
    Copy & Paste
Learn to copy and paste information from one station on a controller to another station to avoid the repetitive entry of data.
